Orthodoxy Sunday at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church / Недеља Православља у Храму Светог Саве у Лондону
In the light of the first Sunday of Great Lent, offering thanksgiving to God for the gift of Orthodoxy and the triumph of truth, the faithful of four Orthodox parishes in the city gathered at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in London. The blessed practice begun last year was continued once again, as the Serbian, Antiochian, Greek, and Ukrainian parish communities came together, bearing witness to one faith expressed through different languages and traditions.
The service of Great Vespers was celebrated by Fr. Dusko, rector of St. Sava Church in London and host of the gathering. He was joined in concelebration by Fr. Nicholas and Fr. Martin from the Antiochian Church, while the chanters’ stand was prayerfully led by Fr. Konstantine from the Greek Church and Fr. Alex from the Ukrainian Church. During the service and the litanies, responses were offered by the Choir of St. Sava in London, adding a solemn and prayerful tone to the worship.
Following the service, a shared dinner was prepared in the church hall for all who were present. The Circle of Serbian Sisters “Ognjena Marija,” as always, lovingly prepared a meal for everyone gathered, transforming this spiritual celebration into an occasion of fraternal joy and sincere fellowship. With warm conversation and gratitude to the Lord, the evening continued in mutual acquaintance and unity among the faithful of all Orthodox parishes in our city.
May this feast of Orthodoxy once again strengthen us in the faith, that we may preserve the truth we have received and, gathered around Christ, remain a support and encouragement to one another on the path toward the light of the Resurrection.

У светлости прве недеље Часног поста, узносећи благодарност Богу за дар Православља и победу истине, у Храму Светог Саве у Лондону сабрао се верни народ четири православне парохије овога града. Благословена пракса започета прошле године настављена је и ове, те су заједно учествовале српска, антиохијска, грчка и украјинска парохијска заједница, сведочећи живо присуство једне вере у различитим језицима и традицијама.
Вечерње богослужење служио је отац Душко, старешина храма Светог Саве у Лондону, који је уједно био и домаћин сабрања. Њему су саслуживали отац Николас и отац Мартин из антиохијске цркве, док су певницу молитвено водили отац Константину из грчке цркве и отац Алекс из украјинске цркве. Током вечерње службе и на јектеније је одговарао хор Светог оца Саве у Лондону, дајући богослужењу свечан и саборан тон.
По завршетку службе, у црквеној сали приређена је заједничка вечера за све присутне. Коло српских сестара „Огњена Марија“ као и сваки пут до сада са много љубави је припремило трпезу за све сабране, претварајући ово духовно сабрање у братску радост и искрено заједничарење. Уз топлу реч и благодарност Господу, настављено је дружење и међусобно упознавање верника из свих парохија нашег града.
Нека нас овај празник Православља изнова укрепи у вери, да чувамо истину коју смо примили и да, сабрани око Христа, останемо једни другима ослонац и подршка на путу ка светлости Васкрсења.
